Weekend is up and its back to work ‘Mondays’. As I was laying on my bed, my sister rushed into my room shouting right into my ears, “Wake up Roshan! I am getting late for work”. I had a late night…slept at almost 1 in the morning. Its been happening for a couple of nights now so I wasn’t really up for driving. I knew she had to get to work and there was no other way since dad was also sleeping.

So I refreshed myself quickly and headed out into a cold morning, dropped my sister off at work and came back home. I did this because  my dad didn’t get enough sleep for a couple of nights either. He wasn’t doing so well (health-wise). What annoyed me the most is the fact that he always gets up  just a few minutes after I leave home to drop sis off. Today it was no different. I slipped into my bed and was praying about different things.

Then I started thinking about how God payed it all on that cross. It says in His word…by the stripes that were laid upon Him, we are healed (Isaiah 53:4-5). All pain, sickness flees at the mention of His name (Acts 3:16). He is all powerful. The mighty and the great one. He said to His children simply to come to him with all their burdens and that He will give them rest (Matthew 11:28). He told them not to worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). He blessed them saying that No eye has seen and no ear has heard what God has prepared for them that love him (1 Corinthians 2:9). He has given them every reason to smile and enjoy the life gifted to them each day.

But what do we do as His children? We go through pain, agony, suffering, sickness, debt, and a lot more that I hesitate to mention. Imagine how much annoyed God should be seeing that all that he invested is not being used properly. Its just like seeing my dad wakeup early in the morning when all is done for him to relax and lay back for a couple of hours more.

God wants you to use all that He has worked for. He has done it all so you and I could live a wonderful life of peace and prosperity.
